Did you know the Safari Rally is one of the longest running continual rallies? First run in 1966 – when it was won by Malcom Burnett and Eric Leighton – it has been run every year since. For 2023 the main event sponsor is Champion Autoglass, who many of you will know as competitor Steve Champion.
The inaugural Safari Rally founder and director, Jeff Dunkerton still gets involved in the rally by helping out as a road closure and giving back to the sport he has loved for many years.
